Finished up a sketch started in Toronto.
Going to use 1”x1” wood tiles and different colored stains to create a pixelated mosaic. This is an option for what I will try to recreate with the tiles.

First of the wooden tile art series. Still have a bunch of wood tiles left, so bigger and better things are to come.
I had a bunch of woods scraps (hundreds of pieces) left over from the last project, so I thought I might as well cut them up and make a bunch of wood tiles.
The result was thousands of pieces to use for some wood tile art. More to come…

This project is my submission for Traces, The 2nd annual engineering art show at the University of Alberta.
So, the illuminite project was a flop. School got too crazy and there wasn’t time for extra curricular projects. But this week I started a new building project for the engineering art show at school.
